Both copies are signed by Robert O. Ralston and Samuel Brogdon, Jr. and dated January 23, 1995. Abstract Leon Martin Abbott (1867-1932) was a prominent and influential Freemason, lawyer, and philanthropist. He was born on August 28, 1867, to Joseph Brown Abbott (1835-1892) and Lydia Cole Martin (1838-1893). Educated in Keene, New Hampshire, he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1891. Abstract Melvin Maynard Johnson (1871-1957) was a prominent and influential Freemason, lawyer and academic. Johnson was born on May 11, 1871, in Waltham Massachusetts. He attended Tufts College and Boston University School of Law (BUSL). Following a successful career as an attorney, he returned to BUSL as a professor in 1918.
