Biographical / Historical

Elsie and Lawrence Haynes, wife and husband, were both heavily involved with Charity Court, No. 17, located in Windsor, Connecticut, of the Order of the Amaranth. Elsie Haynes was elected the Royal Matron of Charity Court, No. 17, and the Haynes were also involved in the national leadership of the Order of the Amaranth. Elsie Haynes served as Supreme Royal Matron of the Order of the Amaranth in 1977. Lawrence Haynes was elected Supreme Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth in 1984.
