Souvenir postcard book from the Elk's Convention, circa 1907
Scope and Contents
Photolithograph depciting an elk head with an inset of a woman on the beach writing "faults" in the sand and two head stones that read "love" and "memory". B.P.O.E banner (stands for Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks) is in the bottom middle of the card with a clock that reads 11. The postcard has an undivided back. Inside the postcard are photolithographs of places of interest in Philadelphia. Such places include the Schmidt & Sons Brewing Company, Robert Smith Ale Brewing Company, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Carpenters' Hall, The Betsy Ross House, Broad Street, Girard College, Old U.S Mint, and City Hall.
