Biographical / Historical

Wintrop B. Wood was born in Concord, Mass. on November 7, 1875, the son of James B. Wood and Ellen Smith Wood. He graduated from M.I.T. in 1898 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was employed by Metcalf Mills, Providence, R.I. and Joseph Bancroft & Sons, Wilmington, DE. He retired in 1930 and moved to Mount Vernon, New Hampshire. Wood died on September 10, 1959.
