The Anti-Masonic Republican ticket announces Samuel Lathrop (1772-1846) for governor in Massachusetts. Lathrop later served as U.S. Representative from Massachusetts, 1819-1827, and was also a member of the Massachusetts State Senate, 1829.

Scope and Contents Circular from appointed committee of eleven members submitted to several Grand Lodges and distributed among Masons concerning the establishment of a General Grand Lodge of the United States. It contains a report of a meeting held on March 9, 1822 among "members of Congress who belong to the Masonic Fraternity" as well as "visitors to the city who are or have been members of any state grand lodge... held in the Senate Chamber" to discuss the establishment of a national Grand Lodge....
