Elks Sand Sculpture in Atlantic City, New Jersey, postcard, circa 1907
Scope and Contents
Photolithograph of an Elk sculpted out of sand with its four sculptors behind it. The passage next to the elk reads "The faults of our brothers we write on the sand their virtues upon the tablet of love and memory." The postcard requests that the 1911 Elks Grand Lodge Reunion be held in Atlantic City, declaring the city "The sunshine town where everybody laughs."
