Scope and Contents
Letter from J. J. J. Gourgas to Dr. Winslow Lewis of Boston. Gourgas thanks him for a fraternal call and described his role in the early Scottish Rite, saying that he constitutionally abdicated his position of Sovereign Grand Commander in August of 1851 and left management to Giles Fonda Yates, as Lieutenant Grand Commander.
