Scope and Contents
Letter dated August 18, 1842 from John Christie to John W. Bay, M.D. of Albany, New York in which Christie thanks John W. Bay for his reply to letter of August 12, 1842. Christie reports that the officers of his Lodge had not been installed and requests advice on how to proceed according to the rules set forth in the Mandates and Decrees. Verso of letter is addressed to John W. Bay, M.D., Albany, N.Y. and is stamped "PAID" and postmarked August 19 from Portsmouth, N. H. Red sealing wax remains above address.
