Letter dated August 12, 1842 from John Christie to John W. Bay, M.D., inquiring as to whether the Mandates and Decrees of the Grand Council of Princes of Jerusalem of 1827 had been revised. Christie had previously written to Killian H. Van Rensselaer about this matter, but had not received a response. He expresses concern that the officers of his Lodge had not been installed after their election, and therefore, the Lodge would be unable to conduct business legally.
