Scope and Contents
A letter from Supreme Council member Enoch Terry Carson of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction to Jacob Norton, a Jewish Freemason. Dated September 26, 1878. In this letter, Carson attacks Leon Hyneman, whom he mistakenly calls Brenneman, and his book, Freemasonry in England from 1567 to 1813, including an analysis of Anderson's Constitutions of 1723 and 1738, authorized by the Grand lodge of England. In particular, Carson defends James Anderson and John T. Desaquiliers and the Universality of Freemasonry.
