Item
Identifier: A2015-007-005
Scope and Contents
In this letter to Grand Secretary Armand P. Pfister of Alabama, Philip Swigert, Grand Secretary for the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, declines Pfister’s request for a copy of the Grand Council of Kentucky's constitution. A fire, which had destroyed the Grand Lodge of Kentucky in 1837, also destroyed all copies of the constitution, save one. Swigert also touches upon the recent growth of Freemasonry in Kentucky after the Anti-Masonic period. Dated November 8, 1845, and written while at Frankfort, Kentucky.
