He was born on August 28, 1867, to Joseph Brown Abbott (1835-1892) and Lydia Cole Martin (1838-1893). Included are several passages mentioning the role of Benjamin Franklin and the Freemasons in the American and French Revolutions, handwritten catechism for the now extinct Rite of Adoption, invitations, and other notes by Pastoret.
