Framed Royal Arch Certificate to Charles Barton, R.A. Lodge No. 14, Liverpool, England, August 7, 1806. Ribbon woven through left side of certificate with a red wax seal lower left corner. Biographical information written on verso of frame: Charles Barton (orignally Sanders) was the great uncle of original donor, Richard S. Sanders, who donated the certificate to the Acton Historical Society in 1968.

Scottish Rite certificate for C. R. Starkweather of Chicago from Supreme Council in Vera Cruz, Mexico in the format of a simple announcement with green paper seal in left hand corner. Also includes a letter from Charles Laffon to Charles R. Starkweather requesting that he start a new body of Masons.

Lodge of St. John certificate, Third degree Mason, Grand Lodge of Switzerland, Berne, Orient of Carouge, issued to Marc L. Lagrange, 1 May 1840. Certificate has wax seal in metal container attached by dark blue ribbon. Accompanied by Masonic membership card of Marc Lagrange from Temple Unique, Orient of Geneva for the year 1863/64

4°, 9°, and 18° Masonic Certificates from the Supreme Council of Italy, 1918

Scope and Contents

Includes three separate certificates for the 4th, 9th, and 18th degrees of Masonry issued to Arnaldo De Nicola by the Supreme Council of Italy. The certificates are in Italian, with "duplicato" written in red pen at the top of each certificate. The certificates include drawings of Masonic imagery, such as a coffin guarded by lions, the pillars of Jachin and Boaz, crossed swords, a lamb on a book and a woman holding a torch.
