In 1873, the Grand Orient of Italy absorbed the Supreme Council at Palermo. This letter seeks to reestablish it.

The certificate is printed in Spanish and signed by Pedro Torres Sanchez, Gran Maestro, and Alfredo Reynoso Magana, Gran Secretario, of the Gran Logia Occidental Mexicana, but it is in regards to Hall's appointment as Grand Representative of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts to the Gran Logia Occidental Mexicana.

Includes a 50 year anniversary certificate and a printed poem as tribute. Also includes a note on the tribute that states: "Retirement get together by Marie De Mer who penned this tribute to me." Post it note photocopied onto archival paper, then discarded.
