This notice from Jonathan Slade (Secretary, Troy [Fall River], MA) certifies the selection of Reverend Levi Chase (a former Mason) as a delegate to the Bristol County Anti-Masonic Party's political convention held on August 23, 1832, at Taunton, Massachusetts. Written while at Fall River, Massachusetts, and dated August 20, 1832.

S. D. Spear, the Secretary of Frontier Lodge, No. 167 (Rouse's Point, New York), requests back issues of The Gavel, an Odd Fellows periodical, and highlights the growth of his lodge. Addressed to John Tanner and dated September 16, 1845. Tanner was co-editor and publisher of The Gavel: A Monthly Periodical Devoted to Odd Fellowship and General Literature.
