Biographical / Historical

The Daughters of Rebekah are a women's auxiliary branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows formed in 1851. In 1868, the lodges and degree system were formally established, which mirrored the organization structure of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Rebekah Lodges were originally only for the daughters and wives of Odd Fellows, but now is open to all people. Rebekah Lodges still exist even as the Independent Order of Odd Fellows is now open to all individuals in the United States and Canada.
