Biographical / Historical
The Lindsay Report was a publication by R. S. Lindsay, Grand Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Scotland, 33°, being a partial history of the Scottish Rite. Lindsay based his report on a report by Dr. Charles Morrison, founder in 1846 of the Supreme Council in Scotland. The Lindsay report contained new information as well as information that differed from accepted facts in the United States. Melvin M. Johnson, Sovereign Grand Commander of the Supreme Council, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, convened the History Committee to investigate the Report's claims.
