Includes postcards, first day covers, newspaper clippings, greeting cards, price lists and order forms, stamps, brochures, commemorative booklets, bookmarks, handwritten notes, scrapbook pages and other ephemera collected by Eileen Anderson, all pertaining to the American bicentennial. The notes appear to be written by the collector, with some later additions by unknown hand(s).

Eileen E. Anderson (Mrs. George Anderson; Eileen Elizabeth Eckart) collected bicentennial postcards, brochures, first day covers, postmarks, etc. Anderson attended collection events to get covers, postmarks, etc., and als mailed away for packs of postcards and first day covers.

Processing Information
Removed and discarded most plastic sleeves, except when loose items would lose context. Traditional 4x6 and 3x5 postcards and smaller newspaper clippings were placed in postcard boxes, kept in found order. Scrapbook pages with glued materials kept intact and placed in archival folders.
