Panorama of El Bexar, No. 181, Band, 1922 November 27
Scope and Contents
This panorama photograph shows the El Bexar, No 181, Band in San Antonio, Tex., with a handwritten note on the reverse. The photograph also has women in similar regalia, presumably part of Nomads of Avrudaka, the women's auxiliary to the Knights of Khorassan. The people in the front row are dressed in costume. Some have clownish makeup on and some are cross-dressing. The note explains the events of the parade and elections of leaders for the D.O.K.K. (Dramatic Order of the Knights of Khorassan).
