Scope and Contents
Includes two manuscript copies of Albert Pike's lectures on ritual, in two parts. The exteriors are labeled "Scrapbook 32" and "Scrapbook 33", each with a book plate with in an Art Nouveau style with "Ex-Libris" and "Isabel B. Holbrook" printed on it. The inside cover of the first book includes a handwritten note that states "This is an unpublished lecture by Albert Pike purporting to be his study of the 33rd Degree, following the 32nd Lecture in "Morals and Dogma". I was told that the daughter of Albert Pike gave a copy to Dr. Henderson, head of the Women's Order of Esoteric Masonry of Los Angeles, and a pupil in that school made this copy for Isabel B. Holbrook. This is Part I."
