DeMoulin Brothers regalia catalog, No. 331, undated
Scope and Contents
This catalog is not specific to a particular fraternal organization, but rather contains all sorts of tricks, practical jokes, and hazing tools for candidates and initiates. This includes things such as the electric carpet, deceptive glasses, trick guns, invisible paddle machine, costumes (some of which romanticize and appropriate non-white cultural heritage by using stereotypes and/or caricatures), and more.

Museum Purchase, A1992/148
Starting in the late 1800s, Masonic and fraternal regalia manufacturers began issuing increasingly sophisticated illustrated catalogs of their goods. The descriptions, illustrations, and product offerings within each catalog did not all change with every issue. To distinguish new catalogs from old ones, companies invested in fresh cover artwork to catch the eye—and the business—of the officers charged with making purchases for their groups.
