E. L. Andrews signature and poetry album, 1854-1879
Scope and Contents
Collection of poetry and autographs to E. L. Andrews, presented to her by her brother N.J. Newhall of Springfield, Mass. The dedication page is dated April 11, 1854. Pages are filled with poetry from Mrs. E. L. Andrews' friends (e.g., H. B. Carter, John Eddy, E. F. Tucker, Celesta S. King, Maria J. Sibley, etc.). There are poems about friendship and dated 1854-1879, from towns such as Ware, Hardwick, Springfield, Sturbridge, Nanticoke, Massachusetts, and several from Maine. The frontispiece is an engraving, drawn by F.W. Topham and engraved by A.L. Dick, of a young girl reading a book.
