Scope and Contents
32° certificate for Winthrop B. Wood issued by the Delaware Consistory, in Wilmington, Delaware on May 5, 1927. Engraving of chain links with symbols of the 32 Scottish Rite degrees borders the certificate. There are large double-headed eagle with symbols upper center of document. The document has gold foil seal in the lower left corner. It is signed by Charles H. Spilman, Grand Secretary-General and William M. Mask, Commander-in-Chief, Delaware Consistory.

Biographical / Historical
Winthrop B. Wood was born in Concord, Mass. on November 7, 1875, the son of James B. Wood and Ellen Smith Wood. He graduated from M.I.T. in 1898 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was employed by Metcalf Mills, Providence, R.I. and Joseph Bancroft & Sons, Wilmington, DE. He retired in 1930 and moved to Mount Vernon, New Hampshire. Wood died on September 10, 1959.
