Biographical / Historical
Lodges of instruction are places "in which obscure [Masonic] passages in the ritual are explained. errors corrected. the landmarks classed. old traditions ventilated. and the whole system simplified and made easy of attainment to any industrious brother..." by Rev. George Oliver, Past Grand Commander for England and Wales. most Masonic lodges hold a Lodge of Instruction to help members learn about Masonic ritual and to help learn and rehearse ceremonies so they can be carried out to a high and uniform standard.
