Richard Pettengill papers, 1943-2022

 Collection
Identifier: A2023-172

Scope and Contents

Collection includes directory and narrative history of the establishment of the Maripan Masonic Club, written 1946. This was to be a club, not a lodge, because secret work could not be conducted while Saipan was under military control. Also includes a modern narrative history of Emon Lodge, No. 179, which was organized under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Philippines in 1966, after the Maripan Masonic Club dispersed with the end of World War II. Also includes a newspaper clipping from the Boston Globe, September 17, 1943, a press release regarding the 28th anniversary of the charter, and a print out of the Grand Master's Seal of the Grand Lodge of the Philppines, 2022.
