Are You in This? World War I poster, circa 1917

 Item — Folder: 1
Identifier: A2009-040-001

Scope and Contents

This World War I poster is a chromolithograph in the colors of red, blue, and green. The poster is filled with activity: a woman and man produce ammunition, a soldier and sailor ready their canon and rifle, a nurse gets cloth ready for the wounded, and a young Boy Scout hands the soldier a book--beyond this crowd is a man looking on from the side lines in formal clothes watching but not participating in the action. This was proabably a poster aimed at getting the general public involved in the war effort
