Blank Masonic register, circa 1890
Scope and Contents
Masonic Register for a Master Mason hand drawn and colored in gouache. Register includes many Masonic symbols including all-seeing eye of God, two lambs representing innocence, mother angel and children representing the Masonic virtue of Charity, the capital G in the center representing God or Geometry, two columns representing pillars of King Solomon's Temple, and a broken column shown with Father Time and a weeping virgin standing over a book, representing mourning. Register includes several other vignettes including an altar on an island, a waterfall, and two hands reaching to clasp with an archive box behind. The register is blank, but with spaces for member's name and date of Entered Apprentice degree and Fellowcraft degree and death
