Scope and Contents
This is the collection of working records for the Committee of Ritualistic Matters. Materials are largely textual, mainly booklets and research pertaining to degrees from 1° to 33° and used as reference material. Collection contents range in date from 1925-1985. The bulk of the collection contains McIlyar Hamilton Lichliter's research into the Scottish Rite Degrees which he was tasked with by Sovereign Grand Commander Melvin Maynard Johnson. There are also suggested revised scripts for numerous degrees sent from various Scottish Rite Masons in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction.
