Biographical / Historical

Oliver T. Barnes (1875-1940) was born on JUly 11, 1875, to Thomas Henry Barnes and Mary Bell Peoples in Pennslyvania. He was an electrician and lived in Olean, New York. He was a member of numerous Masonic and fraternal organizations including Scottish Rite, Knights Templar, Light of the West Lodge, No. 42, Improved, Benevolent, Protective Order of Elks of the World, Modern Order of Essenes, and Knights of Pythias.

He married Olive R. Cady and had several children. He died on August 23, 1940.
