Biographical / Historical

Tammie Bower, born in 1853, was fifteen when she joined the Independent Order of Good Templars in 1869. The Junior Templars, the youth group of the Good Templars, formed in the 1870s. She married William Henry Fillman on May 5, 1872. He was 22 years old and she was 18. They had at least one child, Bruce. Tammie died in 1921.
