Museum Purchase
Along with Masonic symbols, this certificate designed by William Rollinson features a depiction of King Solomon’s Temple and figures representing Justice (with scales), Prudence (with a mirror), Charity (with children), Temperance (with a pitcher) and Fortitude (with an eagle). Rollinson designed certificates with a similar layout for several other New York lodges. He tailored them by changing the lodge name and location and customizing the emblem at the top of certificate.
