Real photo postcards, 1936-1963
Scope and Contents
Collection includes 3 real photo postcards, ranging from approximately 1936-1963 based on the inscriptions on the reverse. The photographs are of the House of Ralph Waldo Emerson in Concord, Mass., The Equinox House in Manchester in the Mountains, Vt., and Hospital Gourgas in Geneve. Also included is a 4th postcard on brown paper, with a watercolor of a man and woman sitting in a hammock with the text "I'm having a fine time in". The postcard with Hosptial Gourgas in Geneve has an inscription from John M. Gourgas IV that reads "This is as it is today 1963."
