SC 043. Foreign Masonic certificates

Sovereign Grand Inspector General certificate for Samuel Weils from the Supreme Council of Portugal and the Supreme Council of Boston. The certificate is in Portuguese with Masonic imagery includes the Rose Croix and the double-headed eagle of the Scottish Rite

Master Mason certificate for Johnson Spicer from the Grand Orient of Nova Scotia Lodge Minas, No. 67. The certificate is in English and Latin and has Masonic imagery that includes three columns and architectural tools

Apprentice certificate for Antonio Mularrani from the Royal Lodge of San Giovanni from Amor della Patria in Milan. Writing continues on back with two red wax seals one on the front and one on the back. Triangle at top of front page includes the columns of Joachin and Boaz and a sun with the tools of Masonry.

Certificate acknowledging that John Joseph Meredith, from Hibernian Lodge, No. 95 in Cork, Ireland, has been initiated into all levels of Masonry by the Grand Lodge of Ireland in Dublin. Certificate is in English and Latin. The certificate has elaborate engravings of three columns, three women, one with three children, one with an anchor, and one with a chalice and cross staff. The background is a lush mountainous landscape and the foreground has globes and many Masonic tools.

Manuscript certificate issued to R. Lowry from Lodge No. 114, Killyleagh, Country of Down, Ireland. Lowry was made a Master Mason, then Royal Arch Mason, then Knight Templar at the same lodge. Certificate has a red wax seal with blue, black, and red ribbon hanging down. There is a large all-seeing eye which is drawn in ink at the top of the certificate.

Certificate for B. D. Babcock as representative from Supreme Council NMJ, USA to Supreme Council of Ireland and recommendation from the Supreme Council of Ireland that Brenton D. Babcock be the Grand Representative of the Northern Jurisdiction of Masonry.
