SC 043. Foreign Masonic certificates

Framed Royal Arch Certificate to Charles Barton, R.A. Lodge No. 14, Liverpool, England, August 7, 1806. Ribbon woven through left side of certificate with a red wax seal lower left corner. Biographical information written on verso of frame: Charles Barton (orignally Sanders) was the great uncle of original donor, Richard S. Sanders, who donated the certificate to the Acton Historical Society in 1968.

Royal Arch certificate for William Callahan from the Grand Chapter of the Holy Royal Arch in London. Paper embossed seal is attached. Symbols include two sets of columns, two angels and a star of David

Manuscript certificate for Robert Palmer from Knights Templar of Londonderry, Ireland. Certificate has a black ribbon and black wax seal on the left

Scottish Rite certificate for C. R. Starkweather of Chicago from Supreme Council in Vera Cruz, Mexico in the format of a simple announcement with green paper seal in left hand corner. Also includes a letter from Charles Laffon to Charles R. Starkweather requesting that he start a new body of Masons.

Membership certificate issued by the United Grand Lodge of England to Charles Hardy from Temple Bar Lodge, No. 1728, signed and dated 1883 with a summons from the Temple Bar Lodge, March 13, 1884
