A circular letter from the Sovereign Grand Consistory expelling William Field, Peter Lawson, Charles S. Westcott, John A. Foster, and George M. Randall, dated May 23, 1862. On August 24, 1860, Sovereign Grand Commander Raymond abruptly closed the Supreme Council sine die, leading to the Schism of 1860 and the formation of two competing Supreme Councils in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, one led by Raymond and the other by Killian Van Rensselaer. These men served as the officers for the Raymond Supreme Council. Now defunct, the Sovereign Grand Consistory was an appendant body to the Supreme Council, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction.
