June 7, 1808
Very Dear Brother
I am writing you these words in a rush to inform you that I gave Mister Therasson who is going to your city and who resides at Mr. Thebault’s place, a parcel for you.
This letter will be handed to you by Mister Auguste Gobert, who promised me that, when he returns here, to bring back with him what ever you might address to me. He will also pay you the small expenses that you incurred for my requests.
I hope that this letter will find you in as good a health as mine is and ask you to believe that I am with the upmost sincere attachment
Your very devoted Brother
and Friend.Thounens
