Letter with translation from J. Sinigagliesi, 1902 August 7
Scope and Contents
Letter dated August 7, 1902 from J. Sinigagliesi and C. Di Leo with attached translation. The original in Italian. Sinigagliesi expresses disappointment over not receiving a reply to his letter of July 25, 1902 in which he requested financial assistance to publish a Masonic weekly for Italian readership. He accuses the "Great Family in America" of not only refusing to assist, but of disinterest in the cause of propagation of the Masonic Institution. He is especially concerned with the influence of the Catholic Church over the Italian community with the resulting conversion of Italian Freemasons to Catholicisim.
