Pencilled writing under photo reads, "This is Grandfather Botsford who had this book, and who wrote these family records." Pencil note on first page of account book reads, "this belongs to Frances Smith, MR". At the end of the account book, Asa Botsford had recorded Family Record, important dates of family members (birth, marriage, death) through 1833. The family records are continued in pencil and include dates from 1828-1887. Asa Botsford died in 1853.
