In this letter, Truman thanks Johnson for sending him an article regarding Truman’s Gourgas Medal ceremony. The Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, awards the Gourgas Medal to Freemasons in recognition of distinguished service to Freemasonry, the country, or humanity.
