Biographical / Historical

Engraved portraits (2) of Louis H. Fead, 33°, honorary member Supreme Council, A.A.S.R., Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, from Michigan. Birth date is May 2, 1877. Death date is February 4, 1943. Louis Fead graduated from the University of Michigan in 1900 with a Bachelor of Laws and received his Doctor of Laws from Olivet College and University of Michigan in 1929 and 1934. He served as prosecuting attorney of Luce County from 1901-1913, Circuit Judge, Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Michigan from 1913-1928, and as Justice of Supreme Court from 1928-1937. Fead was elected a Sovereign Grand Inspector General in 1921. For further biographical information, see Baynard, vol. II, p. 429.
