Like some of the other posters displayed here, this work addressed an audience of recent immigrants. The United States Food Administration produced versions of this poster with text in Yiddish, Spanish, Italian and Hungarian. Posters and other material encouraging Americans to conserve food invited immigrants and new citizens to be part of a shared national effort.
