Scope and Contents
The records in this series are in original order. The files are a miscellaneous collection that document several of the important themes of Johnson's tenure as Sovereign Grand Commander, including funding for research on schizophrenia, the History of the Supreme Council by Samuel H. Baynard, Jr., the state of Freemasonry around the world, and the revision of Rituals. Records include correspondence, reports, pamphlets, meeting minutes and proceedings, certificates, photographs, and ledgers. Records of note include meeting proceedings from the National Association for Mental Health (NAMH), a hand-painted Bolognese honorary certificate, photographs of Johnson through the years, and Johnson's personal financial ledger books.
