This letter from Grand Master Edward A. Raymond of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts summons Columbian Lodge, as well as all other Blue Lodges in the state of Massachusetts, to elect a delegate to convene with the Permanent Members of the Grand Lodge on February 7, 1849. The purpose of this convention was the creation and adoption of a uniform system of “Work and Lectures” for all Massachusetts state Blue Lodges.
