Abstract Leon Martin Abbott (1867-1932) was a prominent and influential Freemason, lawyer, and philanthropist. He was born on August 28, 1867, to Joseph Brown Abbott (1835-1892) and Lydia Cole Martin (1838-1893). Educated in Keene, New Hampshire, he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1891. This collection contains records of diploma applications from consistories in all fifteen states that are a part of the Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, from the years 1977-1989. The records from 1977 do not contain each state. These records contain simply the candidate's name and the date they received their 32°. A small number of records from 1984 do not include the candidate's state and have been filed separately among the records for that year.
