The Ralph B. Duncan postcard collection consists of postcards with a Masonic connection, either a building used for Masonic purposes, a person connected to Freemasonry, or a subject concerning Freemasonry. Mostly made during 1907-1940s, there are some that are both earlier and later, which can be determined by changes in postcard conventions. This collection consists of York Rite membership cards for Masons in Virginia from 1816-1962. The cards contain information such as birth date, place of birth, when they received the degrees, suspensions, death, dimitt, expulsion, remarks, etc. The cards have fields for Mark Master, Past Master, Select and Royal Master, Most Excellent Master, and Exalted with.
