Letter appointing Charles Levi Woodbury the representative from the Supreme Council of Scotland to the Northern Jurisdiction of the United States. The header is a double-headed eagle perched on sword with two crossed flags and the stamp of the Supreme Council of Scotland and a gold embossed seal appear at the bottom of the page.

Engraved Masonic symbols upper portion of certificate include square and compass, urns, sword; gold foil seal lower edge of Patent.
