Letter appointing Charles Levi Woodbury the representative from the Supreme Council of Scotland to the Northern Jurisdiction of the United States. The header is a double-headed eagle perched on sword with two crossed flags and the stamp of the Supreme Council of Scotland and a gold embossed seal appear at the bottom of the page.

Patent for Clinton F. Paige for Deputy of Supreme Council for New York. Upon the death of Orrin Welch, Sovereign Grand Commander Josiah H. Drummond appointed Clinton Paige Deputy for New York. Certificate is signed by Drummond and Albert P. Moriarty, Assistant Grand Secretary. Engraved Masonic symbols upper portion of certificate include square and compass, urns, sword; gold foil seal lower edge of Patent.

Certificate appoints representative for maintaining and upholding communications between respective bodies. Certificate is decorated with two affixed red seals at lower right, printed double-headed eagle at top center with Masonic flags of England and Wales on left and right.
