Hope, Faith and Charity surround a sphere with the text of the certificate. Attached to the back of the certificate is a note dated 1866 written by D. A. Robinson, Mt. Zion Lodge (now in Barre, Massachusetts), which states that Freman Holden was indeed raised to the degree of Master Mason in 1804
