The records of the Portland, Maine, Masonic Collection span the years 1879-1948, with the bulk of material dating from 1879 to 1912. The collection features approximately 442 records produced and collected by Deering Lodge, No. 183, and includes announcements, by-laws, correspondence, programs, and receipts. The collection is arranged by document type and then chronologically. Deering Lodge, No. 183, rented its lodge space from Beersheba Encampment, No. 50, I.O.O.F.

Scope and Contents This collection includes directories for the Order of the Eastern Star districts in Indiana, particularly from 2018-2019, with an almost complete series from districts 1-21. Also includes several years of directories for the 12th District Association, and several spiral bound calendars issued by the Indiana Grand Chapter. Many are labeled with "Dewey Shepherd, Grand Warder" on the front cover. Dewey Shepherd was the Grand Warder of Fountain City, Chapter No. 552 from at least 2018-2019. Also...
