33° certificate issued to David Jewett, 1865 December 12
A copy of a diploma issued to David Jewett in 1826 by Joseph Cerneau's Sovereign Grand Consistory. The diploma appoints Jewett as the Deputy Grand Inspector General for Brazil. The original certificate was issued in New York on November 3, 1826. This copy, dated December 22, 1865, was signed and sealed by Ruy Germack Possollo, the Grand Secretary General for the Supreme Council and Grand Orient of Brazil, Valley of Lavradio in Rio de Janeiro.

The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry over which Sovereign Grand Commander Gorgas officiated claimed its origins from Scottish Rite of Freemasonry organized by Joseph Cerneau in New York City, 1807.
